MyWorkDrive supports sharing S3-compatible storage buckets alongside your existing file shares by integrating with S3 Drive from Callback Technologies.

When accessed through MyWorkDrive, S3 buckets offer the full range of enterprise features and security — just like any other file share. These features include:

  • Access via web, mapped drives (including drive letters on Windows), and mobile clients
  • Real-time access (no sync or share required)
  • SAML/SSO/MFA support with user access projections
  • Data leak prevention (DLP)
  • File type and size blocking
  • Office Online document editing
  • Public share links

To end users, S3 shares look and behave like any other network share — no special software, configuration, or training required.

Comment ça fonctionne

MyWorkDrive does not require any direct integration, file migration, or synchronization with your S3 bucket. Instead, S3 Drive maps the S3 bucket to a folder on your MyWorkDrive server, which is then shared with users using standard SMB (Local) share mounting.

This approach keeps your data centralized and secure, without introducing unnecessary complexity.

Installation & Setup

To get started, all you need is:

  • A MyWorkDrive server
  • S3 Drive from Callback Technologies (provided by MyWorkDrive)
  • Your S3 Access Key and Secret Key

S3 Drive will be installed and configured to mount your S3 buckets as folders (typically under C:\) with standard NTFS permissions.

 

These folders are then shared through MyWorkDrive using Local/SMB Mounts.
